We do not believe that the Nutrient Farm PUD is congruent with agriculture and farming. We have a lot of unanswered questions. And, we don’t like the answers we do have.

What we would like.

  • To understand why Nutrient Farm asking for so many specific exceptions that are incongruent with organic farming.

  • To understand why Nutrient Farm needs such broad, sweeping land use approval.

  • A clear plan for fire safety, including fire suppression and evacuation plan, one with no unresolved issues or lack of clear solutions.

  • A clear plan for water, including water adequacy in general.

  • To understand why a sustainable farm would need a generation facility with a capacity greater than 10MW. Do they plan to power 3,000 homes or operate a very large industrial operation?

  • To understand who their target market is for the planned unit development, including their current offering of a $700+ Telsa Cybertruck Agriculture Tour.  Note that after we shared this, Nutrient Farm changed the price to $549.

  • To understand why they charge for a bald eagle tour, when their very own PUD may jeopardize these protected birds and their habitats.

  • To understand why Nutrient Farm has not reached out to the very community it will impact.

  • To understand why, if their primary goal is farming and agriculture, why they have not used the land to its full potential since they’ve owned it for years.

  • To understand who is going to pay a membership fee to hike their “private open space” trails?

No, thank you.

  • Adventure park

  • Meat processing facility

  • Campground/Recreational Vehicle (“RV”) park

  • Motor sports center

  • Alpine coaster rides
  • Private open space – membership required

  • Recording/production studio

  • Aircraft landing strip and/or helistop

  • An increase in noise and light pollution

  • Disruption to wildlife and their habitat

  • An increase in traffic

  • Lack of clarify around fire safety and evacuation plans

What we value

We believe in responsible, community-driven growth that protects our town’s character, resources, and future. Development should enhance our quality of life, not compromise it. Our values guide us in ensuring that our area remains a safe, sustainable, and thriving place for generations to come.

Transparency & Accountability

The community deserve clear, honest information and a meaningful voice in decisions that impact their homes, safety, and quality of life.

Responsible Growth

Development should align with the community’s character, respect natural resources, and prioritize long-term sustainability over unchecked expansion.

Environmental Stewardship

Our land, water, and wildlife must be protected from reckless development that threatens ecosystems and disrupts natural habitats.

Community First

Growth should serve the people who live here, not outside interests looking to profit at the expense of our town’s safety, infrastructure, and way of life.
